Tripoli, June 20, 2025 (LANA) - The President of the Presidential Council, Mohamed Al-Menfi, received an official invitation yesterday, Thursday, from Japanese Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba to participate in the activities of the Ninth International Conference on African Development (TICAD 9), scheduled to be held next August.

The invitation was delivered to the President of the Presidential Council by the Japanese Ambassador to Libya, Shimura Izora, during an official meeting during which prospects for bilateral cooperation were discussed.

During the meeting, both sides affirmed the strength of Libyan-Japanese relations and their keenness to elevate them to strategic levels that serve the aspirations of both peoples in all fields.
