Tripoli, June 19, 2025 (LANA) – The Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Taher Al-Baour, discussed bilateral relations between the two countries and the latest developments in Libya with the Japanese Ambassador to Libya, Shimura Izuru, on Thursday at the Ministry's headquarters in Tripoli.

During the meeting, the two sides emphasized the importance of strengthening strategic cooperation in various areas of mutual interest, which would contribute to supporting stability and development.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the Ambassador extended an official invitation to Al-Baour to participate in the ninth session of the Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD 9), scheduled to be held in Yokohama later this year.
