Public Prosecutor's Office: Arrest of a suspect in the killing of demonstrators.

Tripoli, June 19, 2025 (LANA) - The Public Prosecutor's Office announced the arrest of one of the suspects in the killing of demonstrators in the Gharghour area in 2013.

The office stated that the Tripoli Court of Appeal, which heard the case in 2016 and examined all the facts up to the escape of the accused (A.D.), ordered the Public Prosecution to monitor his movements and arrest him.

The office explained that judicial police officers arrested the accused in 2025. The Public Prosecution notified the court of the completion of the arrest warrant, indicating that the court set a session on July 1, 2025, to resume hearing the case. Meanwhile, the Public Prosecution renewed arrest warrants for the remaining wanted individuals.
