Parliament's Oversight Authorities Follow-up Committee holds a meeting with the UN Strategy Team.

Benghazi, 18 June 2025 (Lana) Chairman of the Oversight Authorities Follow-up Committee of the House of Representatives (HoR), Zayed Hadiya, and a number of members of the HoR discussed with the Assistant Secretary-General and Head of the United Nations Strategic-Review Team, Daniela Kroslak, aspects of cooperation in promoting stability and development in Libya.

The meeting, which was held at the HoR’s office in Benghazi, also discussed future cooperation within the framework of political reform efforts, the UNSMIL’s role in the next stage, and an evaluation of the UNSMIL’s role in previous stages, according to a statement by the spokesperson for the HoR, Abdullah Blihaq.

The meeting reviewed the United Nations' contributions in Libya over the past years. In the conclusion of the meeting, both sides emphasized the importance of continuing coordination and consultation to serve the interests of the Libyan people, contribute to supporting the political transition process through Libyan institutions, and develop clear strategies for the mission that contribute to stability in Libya through existing Libyan institutions.
