Al-Qubba, 17 June 2025 (Lana): Speaker of the House of Representatives, Agila Saleh, received yesterday in Al-Qubba the Greek Ambassador to Libya, Nikolaos Garilidis, accompanied by Consul General Agapios Kalognomis, to discuss political developments in Libya and strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries.

The meeting discussed the recent developments in Libya, emphasizing the importance of pushing forward presidential and parliamentary elections as a fundamental step toward ending the political divide and unifying state institutions.

The two sides emphasized the need for a unified government capable of overseeing the electoral process throughout the country.

The meeting was attended by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Abdulhadi Al-Hwaij, representing the Libyan government, who stressed the importance of international and regional cooperation to support political stability in Libya.
