The United Nations mission in Libya announces upcoming consultations with youth to engage them in the political process.

Tripoli, June 15, 2025 (LANA) - The United Nations Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL) launched nationwide youth consultations on the political process, beginning with meetings with youth in four cities.
The mission stated on its website that youth represent 38% of the population, according to statistics from the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) in Libya, and therefore should be included in the political process.
It also confirmed that it is launching a broader program aimed at engaging 500 young men and women across Libya in the coming months.
The mission also indicated that it will hold dedicated meetings with youth representatives, both online and in person, in the near future as part of its efforts to engage the community in consultations on the Advisory Committee's recommendations and how to lead Libya to elections and unify institutions.
