Tripoli, June 15, 2025 (LANA) - The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Government of National Unity called on all members of the Libyan community residing or present in Iran to exercise the utmost caution and fully adhere to the instructions issued by the competent authorities in the country.

In a statement issued today, in light of the ongoing events in Iran, the Ministry stressed the need to immediately communicate with the Libyan Embassy in Tehran in the event of any emergency, to ensure the provision of all necessary consular and humanitarian support.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs stressed the importance of Libyan citizens in Iran informing the embassy of their whereabouts, allowing access to them and providing protection and assistance when needed, to ensure their safety in light of the volatile security situation.

The Ministry called for following up on official statements issued by it and the Libyan Embassy in Tehran, and refraining from engaging in any actions that might put them at risk.
