Tripoli, June 15, 2025 (LANA) - Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Omran Al-Qayeb, discussed with the acting Minister of Education, Ali Al-Abed, the restoration of educational facilities to their original condition at the ministry's headquarters in Tripoli on Sunday.

During the meeting, the mechanisms for handing over the current headquarters, which is used by the Ministry of Higher Education and originally owned by the Ministry of Education, were discussed. The goal is to maintain the building and return it to its primary function as a school.

The meeting also addressed the possibility of returning schools and educational facilities used by higher education and scientific research institutions to the Ministry of Education, with the aim of supporting the education sector's infrastructure, addressing the deficit, and ensuring the proper use of educational facilities.

The two sides agreed to restore the administrative, financial, and technical affiliation of Libyan schools abroad to the Ministry of Education, according to the Ministry of Education.
