Brega Petroleum launches a strategic project to implement ISO standards in occupational safety and the environment across all its sites.

Tripoli, June 13, 2025 (LANA) – Brega Petroleum Marketing Company announced on Thursday the launch of the first implementation phase of the project to implement the Occupational Health and Safety Management System (ISO 45001) and the Environmental Management System (ISO 14001). The project was implemented in cooperation with a group of experts from the Petroleum Research Center, the Arab House, and the Arab Group.
The company explained, in a post on its official Facebook page, that this project is part of its strategy aimed at enhancing institutional performance and raising the level of compliance with international standards in the fields of safety and the environment, in line with global best practices.
The Tripoli International Airport warehouse hosted the launch of the first phase of the project, which included a detailed review of the documents, procedures, and application models for the two systems. Practical training sessions were also organized for the work team to enhance their understanding of the new work mechanisms and enable them to implement them with high efficiency, according to the same source.
Brega Petroleum confirmed that the project represents a qualitative step toward achieving institutional integration and ensuring a safe and sustainable work environment, noting that implementation will continue gradually to include all company sites, according to a well-thought-out timeline.
Implementing ISO standards is one of the fundamental pillars adopted by Brega Petroleum as part of its future vision to enhance the quality of corporate performance and achieve sustainability.
