Tetteh meets with number of mayors in Nalot.

Nalot, June 12, 2025 (LANA) - The head of the United Nations Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL), Hannah Tetteh, her deputy Stephanie Khoury, and their accompanying delegation arrived in the city of Nalut on Thursday.
During this visit, Tetteh met with the mayors of the municipalities of Nalot, Zwara, Wazen, Kabaw, Jadu, Yefren, and Al-Qalaa, the head of the Supreme Council of the Amazigh of Libya, academics, political elites, notables, and activists in the aforementioned municipalities.
According to the Nalut Municipal Council, the meeting discussed the recommendations of the UNSMIL Advisory Committee and the current situation in the country (causes and solutions).
The mission announced the day before yesterday, Tuesday, that it would launch its consultation with youth regarding the results of the Advisory Committee and the proposed options for moving forward.
The mission said it will open registration for a discussion session on the political process in Libya in Nalut on Thursday, as part of the mission's #YouEngage program.
