Al-Baour meets with Djibouti's Foreign Minister.

Tripoli, June 12, 2025 (LANA) – Taher Al-Baour, Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation in the Government of National Unity, discussed with Djibouti's Foreign Minister, Abdul Qadir Hussein Omar, ways to enhance joint cooperation between the two countries in various fields and support efforts aimed at achieving stability and development.

This came during a meeting between the two sides on the sidelines of the ministerial-level coordinators' meeting to implement the outcomes of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation, held in Changsha, China.

A statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Thursday stated that the Djibouti Foreign Minister expressed his country's full support for Libya, affirming his country's readiness to sign a political consultation agreement with Libya, which would enhance communication and coordination between the two countries.

For his part, Al-Baour reiterated Libya's support for the stability of the Republic of Djibouti, praising bilateral relations. It was agreed to exchange official visits in the coming period, as part of developing joint cooperation.

These meetings come within the context of the Libyan state's efforts to strengthen its diplomatic presence and expand its international partnerships, serving the path to stability and reconstruction.
