Tripoli, June 12, 2025 (LANA) - Member of the Presidential Council, Musa Al-Koni, received today, Thursday, the Spanish Ambassador to Libya, Javier Soria Cantana, who affirmed his country's continued support for the Presidential Council's efforts aimed at achieving stability in Libya.

During the meeting, the ambassador reiterated his country's commitment to achieving stability in Libya by supporting international efforts aimed at restoring Libya's role in the Mediterranean region. He noted the importance of cooperation between Libya and Spain in the fields of economy and trade, and enhancing cultural exchange.

The meeting addressed the latest developments in Libya and the efforts of the United Nations Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL), based on the outcomes of the Advisory Committee. The meeting emphasized the need to achieve stability through the cooperation of countries interested in the Libyan issue, through the political tracks proposed by the United Nations Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL), to support the political process and end the state of division.
