An expanded security meeting at the Tripoli Security Directorate to discuss the implementation of security arrangements.

Tripoli, June 11, 2025 (LANA) - Members of the Interim Committee for Security and Military Arrangements, formed by the President of the Presidential Council, agreed during their meeting at the Tripoli Security Directorate on Wednesday, to prepare a comprehensive security plan, in coordination with the relevant authorities.This came during an expanded meeting held by Tripoli Security Director, Major General Khalil, at the Directorate's headquarters. The meeting included members of the Interim Committee for Security and Military Arrangements, formed pursuant to Presidential Council Resolution No. (34) of 2025, as part of ongoing efforts to enhance security and consolidate stability within the capital.The meeting discussed the implementation mechanisms of the security arrangements plan, as well as ways to enhance coordination and integration between the relevant security and military agencies, ensuring the highest levels of readiness and preparedness to carry out assigned tasks.According to the Ministry of Interior, at the conclusion of the meeting, it was agreed that the Tripoli Security Directorate would prepare a comprehensive security plan, in coordination with the relevant authorities. This plan will be implemented immediately upon completion of the committee assigned by the Presidential Council, which oversees the withdrawal of all armed forces and the return of military vehicles to their headquarters. This is a first step toward imposing security and extending state authority.The participants emphasized that implementing this plan will represent a qualitative shift in efforts to secure the capital, strengthening state authority, enforcing the rule of law, and ensuring the security and safety of citizens.
