Tripoli, June 11, 2025 (LANA) - Tripoli, President of the Audit Bureau, Khaled Shakshak, met with the Turkish Ambassador to Libya, Güven Begiç, in the presence of a number of directors of the relevant departments at the Bureau.

The meeting addressed the status of joint projects implemented by Turkish companies in Libya and the importance of subjecting them to thorough review by the Bureau, in order to enhance transparency, preserve public funds, and ensure that companies obtain their rights. Both emphasized the independence of the Audit Bureau in performing its oversight duties in accordance with applicable legislation.

The meeting also addressed the cooperation agreement signed between the Libyan Audit Bureau and the Turkish Court of Accounts in 2020 and ways to enhance its effectiveness, particularly in the areas of exchange of expertise, technical visits, and specialized training programs.
