Tripoli, June 11, 2025 (LANA) – The President of the Presidential Council, Mohamed Al-Menfi, discussed the latest security developments in the capital, Tripoli, with the Special Envoy of the Secretary-General of the United Nations to Libya, Hanna Tetteh.

The Media Office of the President of the Presidential Council reported that during their meeting today, the two sides discussed the national efforts exerted to consolidate calm and stability, particularly through the Interim Security Arrangements Committee established by the President's decision.

The Media Office added that the UN Envoy commended these steps, noting the United Nations' support for these efforts aimed at enhancing security and consolidating the truce.

Tetteh also briefed the President on the latest preparations for the upcoming Berlin meeting, according to the Media Office.

For his part, Al-Menfi expressed his appreciation for any coordinated international efforts that contribute to creating a supportive environment for a comprehensive, institutionalized Libyan dialogue, stressing his commitment to national principles and the necessity that any settlement be based on the will and consensus of the Libyan people, without external dictates.
