Benghazi, June 11, 2025 (LANA) - The Ministry of Defense of the government assigned by the House of Representatives rejected the Sudanese Foreign Ministry's statement on the involvement of the Libyan Arab Armed Forces in the ongoing internal conflict in Sudan, describing the accusations as "completely devoid of truth."
In a statement, the Ministry of Defense affirmed its unwavering commitment to the principle of national sovereignty and non-interference in the internal affairs of other countries, especially neighboring countries with which Libya shares deep historical and fraternal relations. The Ministry emphasized that the primary mission of the armed forces is to protect Libyan sovereignty, secure its borders, and prevent the use of its territory for any hostile or criminal acts that could threaten regional security.
At the conclusion of its statement, the ministry urged all parties in Sudan to prioritize wisdom and engage in a comprehensive Sudanese-Sudanese dialogue to reach a political solution that preserves Sudan's unity and territorial integrity, fulfills its people's aspirations for security and prosperity, and ensures that Sudanese territory does not become a source of threat to neighboring countries.
