Ministry of Foreign Affairs affirms the support of Sudan's security.

Tripoli, June 11, 2025 (LANA) - The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation reiterated the Government of National Unity's unwavering position in support of Sudan's security, stability, and territorial integrity. It also calls for an end to the war and fighting, leading to a peaceful solution that stems the bloodshed and restores security and stability to the brotherly Sudanese people.

The Ministry said in a statement today, Wednesday, that it had followed the press release issued by the Office of the Spokesperson for the Sudanese Armed Forces regarding reports of the participation of a Libyan armed group in attacks on Sudanese army positions at the shared border points between Libya, Sudan, and Egypt.

The statement clarified that, based on reports received from the relevant authorities, the Ministry confirms that the aforementioned group is not affiliated with the Libyan Ministry of Defense and does not follow the orders of the General Staff of the Libyan Army.

The Ministry expressed its strong condemnation and complete rejection of the involvement of citizens in activities that would undermine the security and stability of the borders of sisterly countries or their involvement in the ongoing conflict in Sudan, holding all individuals and groups proven to be involved in such operations legally and criminally responsible.
