Tripoli, June 11, 2025 (LANA) - A joint meeting between the GECOL, the General Electricity Company of Libya (GECOL), and the Libyan Center for Solar Energy Research and Studies, attended by the European Union Delegation to Libya, discussed investment opportunities in solar energy and the European Union's contributions to developing projects implemented in Libya.

During the meeting, held today, Wednesday, in Tripoli, a presentation was given on the national strategic renewable energy projects, particularly solar energy, and the potential areas of support that the European Union can provide to promote these projects.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the importance of cooperation between all parties was emphasized to achieve common goals in the field of sustainable energy, which contributes to the development of the energy sector in Libya and enhances its economic stability.
