Mnifi holds a military meeting.

Tripoli, June 11, 2025 (LANA) - Mohamed Al-Mnifi, Chairman of the Presidential Council and Supreme Commander of the Libyan Army, held an expanded military meeting today, Wednesday, to discuss the latest security developments in the capital, Tripoli, follow up on the implementation of measures to consolidate the ceasefire, and enhance the field readiness of the armed forces.

The meeting was attended by the Chief of General Staff of the Libyan Army, his deputy, the chiefs of staff, the Chief of Military Operations, and the Deputy Director of the Military Police Department.

The meeting was also attended by the Disengagement Force, tasked with the tasks assigned to it by the Supreme Commander. These included the Commander of the 603rd Infantry Battalion, the Commander of the 461st Border Guard Battalion, the Head of the Counter-Terrorism and Terrorist Organizations Service, and the Commanders of the 1st and 2nd Reserve Battalions of the 53rd Independent Infantry Brigade. Representatives also included representatives from the 222nd Brigade, the 53rd Independent Infantry Battalion, the Counter-Terrorism Force - Reserve Division, and the National Support Force.

According to the Presidential Council's media office, Al-Mnifi stressed during the meeting the need for all military formations to adhere to the orders and instructions issued by the Supreme Commander, to operate with a spirit of discipline and national responsibility, and to support the Disengagement Force in all assigned tasks.
