Tripoli, June 10, 2025 (LANA) - President of the Presidential Council, Mohammed Al-Mnifi, received an official invitation from the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, to participate in the Arab-Russian summit scheduled for mid-October.

This came during his meeting this evening, Tuesday, with the Russian Ambassador to Libya, Haider Rashid Aganin, who delivered the official invitation on behalf of the Russian leadership, according to a post published by the President of the Council's media office on its official Facebook page.

The meeting also addressed developments in the security situation in the capital, Tripoli, with both sides stressing the importance of supporting the Presidential Council's efforts to consolidate the ceasefire and enhance stability in the country.
