Sabratha, June 8, 2025 (LANA) - The Commander of the Western Coast Military Region, Lieutenant General Dr. Salah al-Din al-Namroush, issued instructions to the (33) Special Operations Battalion, affiliated with the region, to deploy immediately within the city of Sabratha to prevent renewed clashes and maintain security within the city.
He also called on the Military Prosecutor General to assign the Military Prosecution Office in the Western Region to conduct investigations and gather evidence regarding crimes that have occurred or may occur as a result of the aforementioned armed conflict. This should be done in full coordination with the security force assigned to implement the investigations, according to what the Western Coast Military Region published on its official Facebook page.
The Military Region affirmed that these measures are part of maintaining stability, enforcing the rule of law, and addressing any violations that may threaten civil peace in the region.
