First Day / Eid al-Adha / Armed Clashes / Resume / Sabratha.

Sabratha, June 6, 2025 (LANA) – Armed clashes resumed this morning, Friday, the first day of Eid al-Adha, in the Zawaga and Dababshiya areas of the Sabratha municipality. Light and medium weapons and armored vehicles were used.

Last night, the Sabratha Municipal Council called on residents to avoid going out into the streets except when necessary until the situation stabilizes.

The council indicated that security forces, as well as the Anti-Security Threats Agency and the National Support Force, are in contact to work towards calm and stability within the municipality, especially since these clashes coincide with the days of Eid al-Adha.

Social media websites and pages circulated photos and videos of the armed clashes, and the panic and discontent they caused among residents, denouncing these armed groups for disrespecting the sanctity of Eid and depriving people of the joy of the holiday.
