Tripoli, June 4, 2025 (LANA) - The President of the Presidential Council, Mohamed Al-Menfi, discussed on Wednesday with the Special Envoy of the Secretary-General of the United Nations to Libya, Hanna Tetteh, the latest security and political developments in the capital, Tripoli.
During the meeting, according to the President's media office, the importance of consolidating the declared truce and ensuring a ceasefire was emphasized by supporting the security arrangements overseen by the Presidential Council, in coordination with local and international partners.
The two parties discussed various options for resolving the current impasse, based on the outcomes of the Advisory Committee, with the aim of formulating a consensual vision and advancing the political process towards a stable and comprehensive path, ensuring the holding of national elections on clear constitutional and legal foundations.
