The Ministry of Labor of the Government of National Unity participates in the International Labor Conference in Geneva.

Geneva, June 2, 2025 (LANA) – The Ministry of Labor and Rehabilitation of the Government of National Unity participated today, Monday, in the opening of the 113th session of the International Labor Conference, held at the Palais des Nations in Geneva. 187 member states of the International Labor Organization (ILO) are participating, representing governments, employers, and workers. The conference continues until June 13.

The delegation included representatives from the Ministry, employers, and workers, as part of strengthening tripartite representation and affirming Libya's commitment to the principles of decent work and promoting social dialogue.

The opening session witnessed the election of the Minister of Manpower of Zimbabwe, Edgar Mayo, as President of the current session, along with the election of vice presidents and heads of committees and tripartite working groups.

The Libyan delegation's participation comes within the framework of the Ministry of Labor and Rehabilitation's commitment to supporting social dialogue, enhancing international cooperation in the fields of labor and employment, and exchanging expertise with ILO member states, thus contributing to the development of Libyan labor market policies and improving the work environment.
