Tripoli, June 1, 2025 (LANA) - The Special Representative of the Secretary-General for Libya (SRSG) Hanna Tetteh stressed the importance of maintaining the security and stability of the capital, Tripoli.
This came during her meeting today with a number of Libyan political party leaders as part of the consultations the mission is conducting on the outcomes of the Advisory Committee and the efforts being made to address the deteriorating situation in Tripoli, including mechanisms for maintaining the current truce.
According to what the mission published on its website, the attendees discussed with the mission the options proposed by the committee and the possibility of advancing a comprehensive, implementable political process.
