Tripoli, May 30, 2025 (LANA) – Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity, Abdul Hamid Dabaiba, welcomed on Friday the formation of two investigative committees by the Attorney General to investigate complaints and grievances related to outlaw groups and, as he put it, the recent incidents in the capital, Tripoli.

Dabaiba stressed, in a tweet posted on his official account on X, that this step represents a fundamental pillar for strengthening the rule of law and confirms the seriousness of state institutions in confronting violations and holding their perpetrators accountable.

The Prime Minister said, "The formation of these two committees complements the precise security and military operation carried out by the Ministries of Defense and Interior in the Abu Salim area, which resulted in restoring order, imposing state authority, and revealing the truth about the events of the day following the operation, as well as the subsequent attempts to incite chaos, block roads, and commit various forms of attacks."

Dabaiba stressed that the integration of efforts between the judicial and executive authorities represents a solid foundation for enhancing stability and building the institutions of the rule of law that all Libyans aspire to.
