Tripoli, May 30, 2025 (LANA) – The General Electricity Company announced today, Friday, that its technical teams from the Western Region Ultra High Voltage Line Maintenance Department carried out comprehensive maintenance work, including washing insulators on the 220 kV Zawiya-West Circuits No. (1 and 2), heading towards the Zawiya station.

The company explained, via its official page, that this work comes within the framework of the approved plan to maintain and clean power transmission line insulators in several areas, with the aim of maintaining the stability of the electrical grid and reducing malfunctions that may result from the accumulation of moisture and contamination on the insulators.

The General Electricity Company confirmed its continued efforts to implement a periodic maintenance program to raise the efficiency of the network, reduce outages, and improve the level of service to citizens.
