Algeria, May 30, 2025 (LANA) - The Libyan Embassy in Algeria announced the release of 17 Libyan citizens who had been sentenced in the Algerian province of Wadi Souf.

The embassy confirmed in a statement posted on its Facebook page that it had followed up on the released individuals until their safe arrival home.

The ministry added that the released individuals and their families praised the role of the Libyan Embassy in Algeria and the consular staff and their efforts, which culminated in the release of the prisoners, in a video clip published by the embassy.
