6+6 Committee meets with Khoury.

Tripoli, May 29, 2025 (LANA) – The Deputy Special Representative of the Secretary-General for Libya, Stephanie Khoury, met today, Thursday, with five representatives of the 6+6 Joint Committee between the House of Representatives and the State Council. This meeting was part of the broad consultations the UN mission is conducting with various Libyan parties regarding the outcomes of the Advisory Committee.

According to what the mission posted on its account on the X platform, the committee members presented their views on the Advisory Committee's recommendations and stressed the urgent need to initiate the political process as soon as possible.

The mission explained that the two sides agreed to continue their consultations to reach a feasible electoral framework.
