Garabolli security forces arrest a gang of three brothers.

Tripoli, May 27, 2025 (LANA) - The Garabolli Security Directorate, east of Tripoli, arrested a gang of three brothers after they broke into the home of an expatriate family residing in the area with the intent of stealing.

The Ministry of Interior stated on Tuesday that the perpetrators carried out the attack at gunpoint. However, the homeowner managed to seize a Kalashnikov rifle from one of the perpetrators and opened fire, causing two others to panic and fall to the ground. The third brother fled.

The Ministry indicated that the perpetrators were apprehended and provided medical treatment, and the third brother was later arrested with the vehicle in which the stolen items were found.

After being interrogated, the defendants confessed to committing nine armed robberies against unknown persons. The stolen items were valued at approximately 60,000 dinars, which were subsequently recovered.
