Dabaiba meets with sheikhs and dignitaries of Gharyan.

Tripoli, May 26, 2025 (LANA) – Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity, Abdul Hamid Dabaiba, met on Monday at the Prime Minister's Office with a delegation of sheikhs and notables from Gharyan to listen to their aspirations and support the state's efforts to consolidate security and stability, according to the Prime Minister's media office.

According to the media office, the sheikhs and notables of Gharyan expressed their full support for the Government of National Unity during the meeting with the Prime Minister. They affirmed their endorsement of its steps to unify state institutions, especially the army and police, to impose the state's authority and eliminate armed groups.

The delegation stressed the importance of establishing security and stability in all regions, noting that this can only be achieved through supporting official state institutions and enabling them to perform their duties to the fullest extent possible until comprehensive, free, and fair elections are held.

The office explained that Dabaiba praised the stance of Gharyan's notables and sheikhs, stressing that the government will exert all its efforts to support the security and military institutions, ensuring the extension of state control and enhancing stability throughout the country.
