Dabaiba calls for adopting an integrated electronic financial system to enhance transparency and unify financial databases.

Tripoli, May 25, 2025 (LANA) – The Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity, Abdul Hamid Dabaiba, called for the importance of accelerating the adoption of an integrated electronic financial system, which would contribute to enhancing transparency, unifying financial databases, and implementing best oversight practices to achieve efficiency in public spending.
This came during a meeting held today, Sunday, with the Minister of Finance and the two Undersecretaries of the Ministry, to follow up on issues related to public financial arrangements, most notably ensuring the regular disbursement of salaries without delay.
Dabaiba stressed the need to conduct a comprehensive review of approved disbursement policies, ensuring the fair and effective distribution of resources according to the real needs of public entities and avoiding any excess allocations that might be exploited outside the established frameworks.
The Prime Minister indicated that modernizing the financial system represents an essential step towards consolidating good governance and the gradual transition to digital management in public finances.
The meeting was attended by the Secretary-General of the Council of Ministers and the Head of the Executive Team for the Prime Minister's Initiatives and Strategic Projects.
