The National Development Authority launches Libya Vision 2030 from London.

London, May 25, 2025 (LANA) - The National Development Authority launched the Libya Vision 2030 project from London, the British capital, to strengthen the Libyan-British partnership to support stability and development in the region.
The Authority explained that it oversaw the implementation of the vision, which primarily focuses on developing solar energy, innovative solutions for sanitation, and road infrastructure, in addition to its efforts to diversify the national economy and reduce dependence on oil by supporting the agriculture, industry, logistics, renewable energy, healthcare, and education sectors.
Among the most prominent projects presented during the visit were the construction of a strategic road network totaling 1,000 kilometers by 2030 and the modernization of water networks, in addition to the Sirte Gulf International Airport project, which is expected to be completed by the end of 2025.
More than 360 infrastructure projects have been completed to date, with 30 additional projects currently underway, including the Sirte Free Zone, and 10 more in planning. In addition, a project in Benghazi, the most important of which is the new international airport west of the city, the free zones of Giuliana and Marisa, Libya's largest steel plant, international road companies, fuel distribution, services, and advanced investment hospitals.
The Executive Director of the Authority emphasized that enhancing economic stability in Libya will also contribute to alleviating pressures related to irregular migration to Europe, emphasizing that the success of Libya's Vision 2030 is not only key to the country's prosperity, but also a pivotal factor in enhancing regional stability.
