Recovering War Remnants from Tripoli Zoo.

Tripoli, May 25, 2025 (LANA) - The Security Inspection and Explosive Ordnance Disposal Team of the Criminal Investigation Department announced the continuation of its operations to comb and remove war remnants from the Tripoli Zoo.

The explosive ordnance disposal team found several war remnants on Sunday, which were transferred to designated storage sites, in preparation for safe and approved disposal.

The Department confirmed that specialized teams from the Criminal Investigation Department, in coordination with the Public Prosecution, will begin, immediately after the completion of the combing and securing operations, a field survey and a thorough inspection of the site to verify the presence of any bodies or potential mass graves.

The Department indicated that the specialized teams will then move to Camp 77 in Tripoli to continue their tasks of removing war remnants and securing the area.
