Tripoli, May 25, 2025 (LANA) – The Director of the Office of the Minister of Interior, Major General Abdul Wahid Abdul Samad, and the Ambassador of the People's Republic of Bangladesh to Libya, Abu al-Hasanat Muhammad Khair al-Bashar, discussed facilitating the voluntary return of illegal migrants from the Bangladeshi community in Libya.

The Ministry of Interior explained that the meeting was held today, Sunday, within the framework of joint coordination between the Ministry of Interior and the Bangladeshi Embassy. The meeting addressed ways to increase the number of flights within the voluntary return program and work to overcome the administrative and logistical difficulties that may face migrants wishing to return, to ensure the process is carried out in a humane and orderly manner.

Abdul Samad affirmed the Ministry's commitment to facilitating return procedures in coordination with relevant authorities and supporting humanitarian efforts to address the conditions of migrants in accordance with Libyan laws and international standards.

The Bangladeshi ambassador expressed his gratitude and appreciation for the Ministry of Interior's cooperation, affirming the embassy's readiness to continue coordinating, expediting flights, and organizing the voluntary return of its citizens.
