Mnifi meets with Qatari ambassador.

Tripoli, May 22, 2025 (LANA) - Presidential Council Chairman Mohammed Al-Mnifi affirmed the Council's commitment to moving towards a comprehensive national consensus that leads to free and fair elections that will rebuild state institutions on solid democratic foundations.

This came during his reception today, Thursday, at his residence in the capital, Tripoli, of the Qatari Ambassador to Libya, Khaled Al-Dosari.

During the meeting, Al-Mnifi stressed the importance of unifying international and regional positions to support the peaceful settlement process, according to the Council Chairman's media office.

For his part, the Qatari Ambassador reiterated the State of Qatar's firm and supportive position on behalf of the President of the Presidential Council, Mohamed Mnifi, and on Libya's unity and sovereignty. He also emphasized Qatar's commitment to advancing intra-Libyan dialogue efforts, based on the fraternal relations between the two countries and a shared vision for achieving security and stability in Libya and the region.
