Tripoli, May 21, 2025 (LANA) – The General Electricity Company announced today, Wednesday, the release of a shipment of steel towers from its warehouses in Gharyan, allocated to support electricity transmission network projects in the southern region. This is part of the project to connect the northern Sabha station to the existing 220-kilovolt Samno/Sabha line (km 18).
The company stated, in a post on its official page, that the release process was carried out under the direct supervision of the General Administration of Transmission Projects and is part of its ongoing efforts to meet the growing demand for electricity and ensure the stability and continuity of the public network, especially in areas experiencing rapid population and urban growth.
The company confirmed that it is continuing to implement its strategic plan to enhance the efficiency of the electrical infrastructure and support the stability of the national grid by disbursing new batches of materials and equipment from its central warehouses, contributing to improving the quality of services provided to citizens across various regions.
