Tripoli, May 18, 2025 (LANA) – UN envoy Hanna Tetteh discussed the latest developments in Libya in a phone call with Qatari Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Mohammed Al-Khulaifi.

According to the Qatari Foreign Ministry, Qatar confirmed its close monitoring of the current developments in the capital, Tripoli, over the past few days.

The Qatari Foreign Ministry called on all parties to avoid escalation and resolve differences through dialogue, noting its firm position on Libya's unity and achieving the people's aspirations for stability and development.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs also affirmed its full support for the political process, the efforts of the UN mission, and all peaceful solutions that preserve Libya's sovereignty.
