Tripoli, May 17, 2025 (LANA) - The United Nations Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL) warned of the grave dangers posed by unexploded ordnance, munitions, and mines, remnants of the armed conflicts that the country has witnessed in recent years.
The mission emphasized that these objects pose a direct threat to the lives of civilians, especially children, and urged people not to approach or touch them under any circumstances, to preserve public safety.
The mission stressed the importance of immediately reporting any suspicious objects to the following numbers:
