Al-Koni : O people of the capital, O sons of our great people, I join you in congratulating this historic movement that brings you together on this blessed Friday. I support you as you rise today to demand a state of justice, fairness, and law, that your voices and expectations be heard, and that the sounds of bullets and cannons cease to emanate from the skies of the beautiful capital.

The right to demonstrate and to peacefully express your legitimate demands is firmly guaranteed to you, in accordance with Sharia, custom, and the law. Continue, and make this promising movement that brings you together today a historic turning point, shaping the future of the entire nation, leading us, with God's help, to the greater goal we await: organizing elections and choosing who will lead this stage.

Today, you raise the slogans of the olive branch and safety, to confront the sounds of cannons and bullets that have torn apart the skies of Tripoli more than once. You must not allow any infiltrator or criminal to steal this from you, or to steal this peacefulness that has brought you together, and divert your noble movement from its goals of achieving justice and democracy.

 O sons of the capital, O sons of our great people, this freedom opens its doors to you and requires no violence, no division, no aggression against state property or the property of individuals. The nobility and courage of this movement are crowned by the nobility and chivalry of its goal and path.

I ask the security and police forces to protect every demonstrator, to protect you, and to simultaneously protect the property of individuals and the property of the state.

This is the Libya of freedom and justice that awaits us.
