Tripoli, May 15, 2025 (LANA) – The Italian Embassy in Tripoli confirmed today, Thursday, that it is continuing its operations at full capacity and that all its staff are present. All calls are being answered via the designated numbers, reassuring citizens and observers of the continuity of its services.

In a joint statement with the United States, Britain, Germany, and France, the embassy expressed its deep concern over the recent violence in the capital, Tripoli, calling on the Libyan authorities to take the necessary measures to protect civilians and restore calm urgently in the interest of all Libyans.

The Italian Embassy welcomed reports that the parties have reached a ceasefire agreement in Tripoli, stressing the need for full and unconditional adherence to this agreement to ensure security and stability in the city.
