Ankara, May 14, 2025 (LANA) - Turkey called on the Libyan parties on Wednesday to ensure a complete ceasefire and engage in dialogue to resolve differences, following clashes that erupted in various areas of the capital, Tripoli, at dawn today between the forces of the 444th Combat Brigade and the Special Deterrence Force.
The Turkish Foreign Ministry said it is closely monitoring the military tension between the various armed groups in Tripoli, calling on the Libyan parties to ensure a complete, permanent, and immediate ceasefire and engage in dialogue to resolve differences.
The statement affirmed that Turkey "is ready to play its role to ensure a permanent and sustainable solution."
