Benghazi, May 14, 2025 (LANA) - The Libyan House of Representatives called for an immediate cessation of fighting in Tripoli, the opening of safe corridors, and the enabling of competent authorities to carry out their duties in protecting civilians, carrying out rescue and first aid operations, and extinguishing fires.

In a statement issued on Wednesday, the House of Representatives called on the State Council to communicate with the House of Representatives and begin work and coordination to form a single, unified government as soon as possible, whose mandate and mandate would be to de-escalate the situation and restore security and peace.

The statement said, "The House of Representatives condemns and denounces the actions and behavior of the Government of National Unity and holds them responsible nationally, legally, and morally for the ongoing events in Tripoli. It also demands the protection of civilians and their property."
