Tripoli, May 12, 2025 (LANA) - The Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity, Abdul Hamid Dabaiba, held an expanded meeting on Monday to follow up on the implementation of development projects in the municipalities of the Western Mountains, attended by a number of ministers and executive officials.

The meeting discussed the implementation status of infrastructure projects in the region, particularly road and water supply projects, in addition to health projects related to the construction and maintenance of hospitals.

The Prime Minister stressed the need to prioritize the maintenance of main roads and accelerate the implementation of stalled projects in various municipalities of the Western Mountains.

He also emphasized the importance of developing the health sector, along with completing stalled projects in hospitals and medical centers, to ensure improved services provided to citizens.

Dabaiba directed the Ministry of Local Government to prepare a comprehensive vision for establishing the "Western Mountains Development Fund," which would serve as a financing mechanism for development projects in the region and support the stability of public services.

He also emphasized the need for coordination between executive bodies and relevant ministries to ensure projects are implemented according to the specified timetables.

The meeting was attended by Minister of Transport Mohamed Al-Shahoubi, Minister of Local Government Badr Eddine Al-Toumi, Secretary-General of the Cabinet Office Rashid Abu Ghafa, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health Mohamed Al-Ghouj, and heads of executive agencies involved in implementing projects in the region.
