The Central Bank confirms the end of the deadline for withdrawing the 50-dinar note.

Tripoli, May 11, 2025 (LANA) – The Central Bank of Libya (CBL) confirmed that the deadline for withdrawing the first and second issues of the fifty-dinar banknote has expired on April 30, 2025.

The CBL explained in a statement that it is currently completing the technical and administrative procedures to account for the amount of withdrawn banknotes received, as part of its commitment to strengthening monetary discipline and supporting financial stability in the country.

The CBL thanked commercial banks, their branches, and employees, as well as the CBL's issuance departments and divisions across the country, in appreciation of the exceptional efforts made during the implementation of the decision to withdraw the first and second issues of the fifty-dinar banknotes.
