Tripoli, May 11, 2025 (LANA) – Speaker of the House of Representatives, Khaled Shakshak, discussed with the Minister of Oil and Gas, Khalifa Abdul Sadiq, the most prominent challenges facing the oil sector, particularly with regard to developing and enhancing investment opportunities in the oil and gas sector.

This came during a meeting held today, Sunday, attended by a number of directors of relevant departments from both sides, according to the Audit Bureau.

The Bureau added that the meeting reviewed the difficulties hindering the development of this vital sector, in addition to discussing monitoring and evaluation mechanisms and strengthening oversight to ensure efficient performance and proper use of resources.

This meeting comes within the framework of the Audit Bureau's ongoing monitoring of state sectors and its commitment to supporting reform and development efforts, which contribute to improving overall performance and increasing the efficiency of the use of public funds.
