Tripoli, May 10, 2025 (LANA) – The Investigations and Evidence Gathering Department of the Stability Support Agency (SSA) arrested an African national in the act of drug trafficking in a well-planned ambush in the capital, Tripoli.
The agency explained in a statement today, Saturday, that the arrested person was in possession of (2.4) kilograms of cocaine, including (600) grams of raw cocaine. The agency indicated that the accused confessed, during interrogation, to the charges against him, while efforts are ongoing to arrest the remaining suspects.
The SSA confirmed that the necessary legal measures have been taken, and the arrested person has been referred to the competent prosecution for further investigation.
The statement indicated that this operation is part of the ongoing efforts made by the SSA to combat the phenomenon of drug and psychotropic substance trafficking.
