Dabaiba follows up on the situation in the Western Mountain municipalities

Tripoli, May 9, 2025 (LANA) – Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity, Abdul Hamid Dabaiba, discussed with the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Local Government for Municipal Affairs, Mustafa Salem, the situation of the municipalities of the Western Mountains and the service and development challenges they face.

The Prime Minister's Media Office explained that the meeting discussed the bottlenecks hindering the work of municipal councils, as well as ways to enhance coordination between various executive bodies to ensure responsiveness to the needs of citizens in the region.

The Media Office added that Dabaiba issued instructions to prepare for an expanded meeting, chaired by him, that will include officials from the relevant service and development sectors. The meeting aims to discuss projects for the municipalities of the Western Mountains and define a comprehensive roadmap.
