Tripoli, May 9, 2025 (LANA) – The European Union celebrates today, Friday, the 75th anniversary of the launch of the European Unity and Solidarity project, on the occasion of Europe Day, which falls on May 9th of each year.

On this occasion, the European Union renewed its commitment to supporting peace, cooperation, and development with its partners around the world, foremost among them Libya, stressing that the partnership between the two sides is based on mutual respect and the creation of shared opportunities.

The European Union Representative to Libya said that this anniversary represents an opportunity to affirm our shared vision for a more stable and prosperous future, adding that the European Union will continue to support development and reform efforts in Libya through concrete programs covering the sectors of education, good governance, energy, and economic development.
