Tripoli, 8 May 2025 (Lana) Director of the Institute of Diplomatic Studies at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Khaled Abu Khreis, met yesterday with Ambassador of Austria to Libya, Barbara Grosse.

During the meeting, Abu Khreis presented a summary about the institute’s vision and goals, in addition to its training programs and its role in qualifying Libyan diplomatic cadres, and discussed ways to strengthen international cooperation in the diplomatic training area and exchange expertise.

For her side, the Ambassador expressed her appreciation for the vital role of the institute in supporting Libyan diplomacy, emphasizing her country’s readiness to enhance aspects of cooperation and coordination with Libya, particularly in the areas of diplomatic training, exchange of academic visits, and organizing joint training programs between the institute and its counterpart in the Austrian capital, Vienna.

This meeting comes within the framework of the institute’s commitment to expanding the prospects of international cooperation and strengthening partnerships with counterpart diplomatic institutions in various countries.
